What we're looking for

We have been tasked by a UK-based medtech scale up to recruit a DevOps Engineer. Our client utilises AI and Machine Learning technology to curate and analyse clinical imaging data to obtain new insights into diseases and response to treatment.

In this role you own the end-to-end Machine Learning Pipeline together with CI/CD for our ML Engineering process. You will focus on designing and deploying our data pipeline using infrastructure as code methodologies as well as ensuring we have logging and monitoring in place. You will also design and implement tools to version our datasets, models and production endpoints to allow the team to collaborate, experiment and scale fast.

Preferred skills and experience

  • 2+ years of industry experience in applied DevOps.
  • Strong proficiency with Linux operating systems
  • Experience of cloud providers (AWS preferred)
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform (preferred) or CloudFormation
  • Expert git skill
  • Production level experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience with Kubeflow or other workflow tools
  • Experience with automated testing and test-driven development
  • Understanding of time, RAM, and I/O scalability aspects of data science applications (e.g., CPU and GPU acceleration, operations on sparse arrays, model serialization and caching)
  • Strong Python and bash skills
  • Extensive containerisation exposure
  • Monitoring and Logging frameworks (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana etc)
  • Experience of working in a team using agile methodologies
