What we're looking for

Client: Leader in Gaming industry based in Germany and the US.

Position: DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps engineer you will be an interface between different teams, you will contribute to the further development of our high-traffic platform.

Your tasks include

  • design, monitoring and implementation of the implementation of technologies and platforms to support our complex high-traffic infrastructure.
  • Create the best possible monitoring and alerting solutions for our extensive server farm in order to guarantee all the information necessary for efficient troubleshooting.
  • Ensuring stability using the best technical solutions with the help of configuration management tools.
  • Development, expansion and maintenance of our continuous delivery pipeline to provide reliable software releases several times a day without downtime (using build processes, packaging, tests and automated deployment).
  • Detection and analysis of performance risks
  • You are the contact person for coordinating the planning and installation of system components as well as troubleshooting, if necessary.

Skills

  • Successfully completed university degree in the field of technical computer science, computer science or a comparable training
  • At least 1 year of practical experience as a DevOps engineer
  • At least 2 years of professional experience with Linux-based systems (e.g. CentOS) and a cloud virtualization system (e.g. AWS, GCP, Openstack, etc.) with a focus on scalability and maintainability
  • In-depth knowledge of Python, additional experience with other high-level programming languages (e.g. Java) would be desirable
  • Good knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, knowledge of NoSQL would also be advantageous
  • Experience with build and CI systems (Maven, Jenkins)
  • Knowledge of how to use configuration management tools (Ansible) would be a plus
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ownership Very good knowledge of English required, knowledge of German desirable
  • You like to work in an agile environment (Scrum, Kanban) with state-of-the-art technologies
